Eighteen weeks down!

It finally got a little warmer! Brian and I went to the state IHSAA wrestling finals (he wrestled in high school) and walked around downtown to enjoy the sunshine.

Seventeen weeks down!

It's still cold, Tank, but your dad took me to a schmancy restaurant for Valentine's Day (Meridian, on the block where I grew up), and I even managed to wear my fancy Marc Jacobs pink suede high heels! Otherwise, I've just been holing up inside and watching the Winter Olympics.

Tank, I text your dad sad pictures when I want to break our healthy diet and get Steak and Shake instead.

This belly thing keeps growing! Seems like a big difference from last week.

Cute girl power onesies...

Sixteen weeks down!

Tank, it's still cold and icky, which has made us all stay cozy inside. Your cousin Rylie celebrated her first birthday on the 6th, and your uncle Luke and aunt Sarah threw her a big, well-deserved party to celebrate. I'm sure she'll teach you how to be a warrior woman in a few years!
Sox and Brian like to nap in the big recliner

Rylie got a comfy chair (plus a bunch of good stuff) at her superhero party!

Fifteen weeks down - Tank is a GIRL!!!

That is 37.5% (or so) of pregnancy completed! Still having a cold, cold winter. Be happy you're in a warm, secure place, Tank. Even Sox likes to snuggle against my growing belly in this cold.

We had (well, I had) originally planned NOT to find out if you were a boy or a girl, because we didn't have a preference and we wanted the element of surprise. But our genetic test results came back from the lab (you are very low risk for any of the common genetic abnormalities, by the way!), and someone had checked the "find out sex" box - so we found out we're having a little girl.

Your dad was so excited about the news (we found out via emailed lab results) that he was jumping up and down, still dripping wet from the shower, shouting, "We're having a little girl! A little girl!" You are loved and eagerly awaited, little one.
