31 weeks down!

Tank, your mom and dad are now officially grownups - for the first time in years for either one of us, we own a dining room table AND a full set of chairs. We made an IKEA run - to the one outside Cincinnati - and came back with a table and four out of six chairs (two are back-ordered) that look great in our breakfast area. Now we won't be setting a bad example for you by eating at our coffee table all the time! (we just got a coffee table a few months ago, too...)
Sox LOVES to help us put together furniture.

Our new dining room setup, minus two upholstered end chairs (in purple, B's favorite color)
The rabbits continue to torture Sox through the glass.

Feeling like real suburbanites...

We bought a new gas grill this weekend AND dog-sat Marley for Luke and Sarah. Brian was in heaven!
Marley guarded our backyard against the evil rabbit near the back fence.

Marley also stole Sox's (and Brian's) spot in bed

But Sox got to help us put the grill together, so she got over it.
We took Marley for a walk around the neighborhood...
... and we almost killed him.

Burgers and root beer on the back patio with our new grill!

30 weeks down! WHOA.

That would be 75% of the way to my due date, or 10 weeks left. Somehow being in the weeks starting with "3-" is terrifying as well as exciting - we have so much left to prepare (like the empty nursery)!
Sox wanted in on the belly pic this week

We had a hard time getting a "normal face" belly pic this week.

Poor Brian got sick on the way home from vacation

Poor Brian's stomach started hurting on the way home from vacation, and I attributed it to our eating lots of dinners out (and lots of trail mix) while on our babymoon. However, he was up all night in stomach pain that night, so the next morning we took him to the ER at the totally wonderfully NOT busy St. Vincent Fishers Hospital, three minutes from our house. Diagnosis: diverticulitis. Poor thing has been on meds and not able to eat much real food for days.

We've also gotten some epic junk mail since moving.
Funniest book title I've found so far!

29 weeks down!

The countdown continues...

Mini-babymoon in the Red River Gorge

Tank, hiking while pregnant is NO JOKE when it's 85+ degrees out and humid! But B and I just got back for a little trip to the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Resort Park in eastern Kentucky. It's gorgeous down there!
The views were incredible! That's Natural Bridge WAYYYY in the background behind Brian.

"Lovers' Leap" - we didn't jump.

These stairs were STEEP - luckily we got to go down them instead of up

We didn't take the skylift to the top of Natural Bridge, but it looked like fun.
The Nada Tunnel - one lane but two-way, only nine feet wide!
Hiked to the top of Natural Bridge!

2nd March of Dimes "March for Babies" walk

Since our niece Rylie was born early (27 weeks!) last year, everyone in our family has come to realize exactly how much research and support is provided by the March of Dimes for premature babies and their families. This was our second year participiating in the annual "March for Babies" walk along the downtown canal with my brother Luke, his wife Sarah, their daughter Rylie, and their extended families and friends.
Rylie rolls deep!

I got to hold Rylie after the walk was through.

28 weeks down! THIRD TRIMESTER!!!

Two-thirds of the way done... now for the hardest trimester, heat- and size-wise, or so I'm told.

Pretty view of the Hamilton County Courthouse on the Noblesville town square.

We have moved to the suburbs, white picket fence and all!

Tank, you probably didn't notice much except that your mom was tired (I did throw up a little from exertion right before the movers came, oops), but you are now a suburbanite instead of a Near Eastsider! We've got a LOT of unpacking to do, but we're already enjoying having so much more space.

(cue heavenly trumpets) A WALK-IN PANTRY!

Tank's room! Decor thanks to the previous owners. We love it!
