We don't have possession for another week or so, but we closed on our new house in the suburbs - THREE bedrooms vs two, TWO AND A HALF baths vs our tiny one, double the square footage, and double the (now) attached garage space. We are so excited to begin this new stage in our lives, even though I was very skeptical about living in the suburbs when we first considered it. Schools are excellent, streets are safe, and we will have a garden tub and a walk-in pantry (hallelujah!)
We celebrated over the weekend by hitting Bub's in Carmel (yum yum) and Wyliepalooza for ice cream in Irvington (more yum). We ALSO celebrated at Bru Burger on Mass Ave and picked up our first actual purchase for Tank - a onesie.

26 weeks down!
Now the weather is warming up, B and I are getting out of the house more - at last! On Saturday, Grandma Jane (my mom) gave us a personalized tour of the Eiteljorg Museum, where she's a docent. On Sunday, we celebrated Easter lunch at Uncle Luke and Aunt Sarah's with Rylie and Aunt Sarah's sister Beth and her family. I got some sun for the first time this year!

25 weeks down plus more ultrasound cuteness
Tank, we had our very first "glitch" of my pregnancy today, but everything still turned out fine. When my OB took my "fundal measurement" (using a tape measure over my belly) at my 24 week checkup, it seemed that my belly had jumped WAYYYY up in size since last month, measuring 4 weeks bigger than it should (it was right on track last month).
This could have been an indicator of a big baby/gestational diabetes, extra amniotic fluid, or other issues, so they got me in for an ultrasound the same day. On that more detailed measurement, you're only measuring 5-6 days ahead based on your belly and leg sizes. The bad news for me? Your head, thanks to your dad and the Reschly gene pool, is measuring a week and a half bigger. No *medical* issues, you see, but ask me at the end of July how I feel about that big noggin.
Look at those kissable lips!
And this movie was my immediate first thought after the ultrasound...

Herding cats...
Sox was due for her annual shots, plus she seemed to have some kind of skin allergy and was itching a lot, so I made her a vet appointment. That day it stormed like crazy, and visibility on the highway was not good. Note to self: we need to get Sox a sturdy carrier (she destroyed a cardboard one in less than five minutes last vet visit).
This started before we even pulled out of the driveway...

Once she stopped screaming, she sat on my shoulder the rest of the 20min drive. She's tiny, but she gets heavier the longer she sits!

23 weeks down!
Sox wanted to be in the picture this week (see bottom of frame). My belly is looking legitimately pregnant these days!
